Dress Code

Sixth Form Students are given some discretion to make appropriate choices regarding their working clothes. However, they are expected to set an example to the rest of the School through their high standard of business-like dress and the way they present themselves.  Our Sixth Form dress code, mirrors that of many top companies and business organisations. Students choosing to attend our Sixth form do so in the full knowledge of what our Dress Code requires of Sixth Form students.

  • Tailored suit (not tight fitting) comprising of jacket and matching trousers, skirt or dress - Jackets should be worn at all times around the academy
  • Fitted shirt with tie & top button done up, smart formal blouse or fine knit polo neck
  • Plain, fine knit V-neck jumper or cardigan.  No hooded jumpers or “chunky” knitwear
  • Trousers must be full length, skirts must be knee length or longer
  • No Leather, Denim, Jeans or Jean style.  No leggings
  • No Vest tops or cropped tops.  No casual tops or logos.
  • Smart shoes – no exaggerated soles or heels.  No flip-flops, soft shoes, trainers or sandals.
  • Make up and jewellery should be kept to a minimum. If ears are pierced only one small earring per ear is allowed.  No other visible piercing is allowed.
  • Hair must neat and a natural colour, no extremes of style, and should not be shorter than a number 2 cut.
